Thank you from all of us at Community Preschool!

A word from Director:

Welcome to Community Pre-School. We are all pleased that you have

chosen our school for your child care and preschool needs. Please make sure you sign your child in and out every day. This is a licensing rule. If you have not brought in all of the registration forms, or Physician Forms, please bring them in as soon as

possible. Also the emergency forms that stay in the classroom, need to be turned in if you have not done so yet.

Tuition payment is due from the 1st to the 10th of the month and late after the tenth of the month.

If your child has any allergies, please let the classroom teachers know. Also our school is a NUT FREE school. Absolutely no nuts, or nut products, or any foods that have been processed in a plant that processes nuts should come into the school. We have some of the children who have severe nut allergies.

If your child is not going to be at school for any reason, please give the

school a call.

Community Preschool of Sunnyvale

  slide

History

Community Pre-School was started in 1968 and is sponsored by the Congregational Community Church of Sunnyvale.   It grew out of a desire of  the congregation to provide a loving and caring environment for children. With the qualifications and enthusiasm of staff members, the school continues to grow in quality and reputation.  In 2006, we were awarded the City of Sunnyvale's Best Teachers Award and the Best Director Award.  In 2007, we received the honor of being awarded, again by the City of Sunnyvale with the Best Teachers Award and the Best Preschool Award. We are proud of the status our school has earned.

Philosophy/Goals

All children ages two through six may be enrolled in our program. Children of  all racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds are welcome. We believe in  nourishing all aspects of a child's development.

The curriculum is designed to help each child grow to her/his potential within an atmosphere which nurtures positive self-image and social skills while developing pre-academic skills needed in a school situation. Our qualified and caring  teachers are guides who motivate the children to reach their developmental potential.  Provisions are  made for each child to experience literature, science, math,  creative art, music, language and physical activity within a structured and unstructured schedule using developmentally appropriate practices and materials.  Children are encouraged to experience their world, to grow and to develop independence and positive self-esteem.
